Webcomic Plug: El Cuervo

Webcomic Plug: El Cuervo

If you’ve wondered why I’ve taken a few days off here and there, I suppose it’s time to let the cat out of the bag. I have a webcomic project I’ve been working on entitled El Cuervo, and I’ve finally created the website and released the first 5-6 pages of the comic. It’s going to be an ongoing webcomic that updates twice a week – on Mondays and Wednesdays. So while you’re waiting for your updates on idrawdigital, you can check out El Cuervo on the off days. idrawdigital Site Tweaks

idrawdigital site tweaks

In the search for providing more of a complete feeling to the site, you’ll be noticing a number of small changes to the overall look of it. Once again, don’t panic. The last few months have been a testing period for the new design, and idrawdigital is curently in a metamorphosis stage. The design wasn’t completely meeting my needs, and to be honest it was lacking in a number of areas. Click here to continue…

What happened!

It isn’t the greatest way to start off the New Year. I had taken a bit of time off and set a couple of blog posts to auto-publish while I was off. Apparently, this guy doesn’t know how to follow the manual, and well – all you folks got for Christmas from idrawdigital was dead silence. I’m really sorry about that! So I will publish the posts that should have been, right away!

I also have some new content that I will update shortly, and a few new things on the go. Stay tuned.

Reaching outwards…

0207_social_network

I’ve started a fan page over at Facebook if you’re interested on keeping up to date on this site via Facebook alerts, or if you want to discuss comics related topics in general – head on over.

In case you hadn’t seen the button on the left hand column, I have a Twitter account you can follow as well – whenever the Facebook page is updated, a Tweet gets sent. But I also use Twitter for other updates for my sketchbook blog over at Tumblr – and other random stuff I come across.

The other side blog I have is my new sketchbook which you can find over at Tumblr. I’ll be posting my latest projects and giving updates on how all of that stuff is progressing. I didn’t want to put any of those updates on here, since idrawdigital is more tutorial and learning based. My personal comics stuff should have its own place.

Thanks for the support!

Still on the Job…

Sorry for the delays – I was away on some personal matters so the blog was unattended. I will be posting some updates shortly. Hang on!

RENOVATIONS

during-renovations

If you’re landing here and wondering what the hell is going on, don’t fret – these are just a few of the structural changes I mentioned awhile back that are starting to take place. If you’re noticing your favorite posts being moved around or some of the links acting wonky, don’t worry – with a bit of time everything will be back to normal with a new body.

You may have figured out that the focus of the blog has been evolving over the course of the year – I started out with heavier focus on Illustration and digital drawing related stuff, them migrated to illustration techniques (still digital) – but I was finding that it wasn’t what I really wanted to blog about fully. Sure, I love illustration and resources and idrawdigital will still have that, trust me – but for my own personal blogging experience, I wanted to develop this into something that will benefit me and scores of other readers out there.

Yeah, I love drawing comics. I love the process behind it – and its a form of illustration too. Since many of these comics find their way on to the net, or are born from the net, it just seemed like a logical advance – and one I’m a lot more comfortable providing tutorials and information for. There’s the rationale. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some shifting around to do.

Please note that I’ll be restructuring the content on idrawdigital slightly, so some of the categories may change slightly. Be sure to update your bookmarks.

And now, back to the regularly scheduled surgery!
